Hello! I'm Nasreen, the Chief Editor and author of IHF. My passions include health, travel, and beauty/fashion. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, spending time in solitude, people-watching, laughing, and going to the gym. I often explore themes of spirituality, personal development, Islamic wisdom, and worldly matters from an introspective point of view. Since I was 16, I've been involved in various ventures, including founding a travel agency and an organization for minority youth in my local area. My experiences traveling through Europe and living in Los Angeles have shaped my mindset and taught me valuable life lessons and business insights.

My name means “God has answered me”, and I would like to think that it’s true because of my many answered prayers! An INFJ according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I would describe myself as someone who is creative and driven by curiosity and fairness. Among my interests are photography, typography, fashion, and psychology and my favourite books are The Hobbit by Tolkien, With The Heart In Mind by Mikaeel Ahmed Smith and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (not necessarily in that order). I studied graphic design and worked in luxury fashion which was fun. Although I learned a lot, it still felt unfulfilling and so I finally decided to go back to school to study psychology, a childhood interest. I wish to achieve so much in this short life, I feel torn in so many different directions. “I should have been a great many things, Mr. Mayor.” - Jo March, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

Hi there! I’m a proud Pakistani-Italian woman blessed to call both Asia and Europe home. My journey has taken me from the vibrant streets of Lahore to the stylish avenues of Europe, with countless adventures along the way. Though I hold a business degree, my true passions lie in writing, traveling, savoring diverse cuisines, and keeping up with fashion. I’ve spent years indulging in new flavors, and nothing brings me more joy than preparing a traditional pasta dish for my family—a skill I honed while living in Italy. For me, it's not just about the food; it's about the stories, cultures, and connections that each meal and every journey brings. Life with my two energetic boys is a whirlwind, but their smiles make every challenge worthwhile. Between school runs and staying on top of fashion trends, I cherish the little moments and pursue big dreams. I’m dedicated to filling my passport with stamps and my heart with memories, all while striving to be the best Muslim I can be. Join me on this journey as I learn, grow, and discover the world, one adventure at a time.
